Dave “Bub” Ward, 71, of New Palestine, passed away at home on Friday, July 29, 2016. He was born on August 6, 1944 in Evansville, IN to Charles Lilburn and Zora Bell (Phelps) Ward. Dave attended Arsenal Tech High School prior to earning his GED. He honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War from 1967-1969. Dave worked for Chrysler, both at the Shadeland and Kokomo plants for 30 years, retiring in 1996. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed vegetable gardening at his home. Dave will be most remembered as a generous and selfless man, who always put the needs of others friends first. He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 52 years, Wanda (Robinson) Ward; children, Gina (Rich) Greco and Shawn (Renee) Ward; grandchildren, Madison Ward, Madison Levi, Haley Hodge and Michael Klasner. Dave is also survived by his sister, Erma (Randall) Kitchens; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and also his in-laws, Bartie and Dorothy Robinson. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at Flanner and Buchanan – Memorial Park from 4-8pm. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday afternoon at 2pm, also at the funeral home. Entombment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
