Darwin W. Clay, 95, Indianapolis, passed away May 2, 2013. He was born November 10, 1917, in Cicero, NY, the son of the late Stewart and Agnes (Conklin) Clay. He married Eileen D. Clay on July 1, 1944, and she preceded him in passing on January 10, 2013.
Darwin was a co-founder of the Kitchener Waterloo Oktoberfest, and Chairman of the World Service Committee Y.M.C.A. for some 12 years. He worked in general management at a number of companies including the position of President and General Manager of Budd Automotive in Kitchener Ontario.
He is survived by a son, Gary Clay a resident of Frisco Texas. He was also preceded in death by his daughter Darleen Clay, passing on December 25, 2012 in Kitchener Ontario.
Memorial services will be 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 8, 2013, at Flanner and Buchanan – Broad Ripple, Indianapolis, Indiana. Visitation will be from 3:30 p.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
