Darlene Sue Spitz,

65, passed away on March 27, 2023, in Plainfield, Indiana. She was born on December 7, 1957, in Indianapolis, Indiana to the Late Richard P. and Hallie G. Fatout.

Darlene was a Phlebotomist at Hendricks Regional Health, and she was a member of American Legion 331, but most importantly, she was a loving mom, grandmother, and friend.

Darlene was preceded in death by her husband, Richard D. Spitz; parents, Richard P. and Hallie Fatout; fiancé, Jerry Pierce; sister, Norma Thomas; and brother, James Austin. Left to cherish Darlene’s memory are her daughters, Carrie (David) Brunat, Courtney (Marcus) Wilson, and Cylee (Michael) Russell; sister, Mary Grayless; brother, Richard P. Fatout, Jr. (Linda); 11 grandchildren, Derek, Austen, Alexis, Macyn, Corey, Casey, Kendra, Hailey, Deacon, Conner, and Tyler; 8 great grandchildren, Emma, Braxton, Evie, Ethan, Ella, Aurora, Josie, and Avery; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Memorial Contributions can be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Foundation.

Visitation will be held at Flanner Buchanan – Floral Park, on Sunday, April 2, 2023, from 2:00pm to 8:00pm and again on Monday, April 3, 2023, from 10:30am to 12:00pm. Funeral Services will immediately follow the visitation on Monday at 12:00pm.
