Daniel G. Teater

January 11, 1953 — June 4, 2025

Indianapolis

Daniel Teater, 72, left this world too soon, June 4th, 2025. He was born January 11th, 1953, in Indianapolis to parents Roy and Jean Teater.

Daniel grew up in Indy.

A hard worker, Daniel was the service manager for Inskeep Ford Dealership for many years, before retiring.

On August 3rd, 2013, Daniel married his loving wife Peggy. They shared 12 wonderful years, merging their families and building a life together.

Passionate about his motorcycle, Daniel loved riding his Harley. Every week, he’d ride with his buddies, but he took any excuse to be on his bike. Daniel was a naturally talented, self-taught artist. Though he was modest about his talents, he painted many incredible artworks throughout his life, and used painting as his way to relax. Daniel was an avid fisherman. He enjoyed spending time in the sun, line in the water, Budweiser in hand.

Daniel was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

Daniel is survived by his wife Peggy; children Kelly (Mike) Lucas, Danny Teater, Chelsea (Brandon) Teater**; Grandchildren Shelby, Kyle, Khloe, Eli, Lukas, Kaydence, and Nova; and great-grandchild Teagan.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his siblings Donna and Dean.

Daniel’s visitation will be Saturday June 14th, from 1-4pm at Flanner Buchanan Washington Park East.

He will be laid to rest at Washington Park East Cemetery, privately, at a later date.
