Daniel Joseph Neeley, 45, left this world too soon, on July 24th, 2026.

He was born in The Dalles, Oregon on May 15th, 1981.

Daniel and his family lived in several states growing up, and he graduated from Danville High School, in Danville, Illinois.

At 27, in 2006, Daniel proudly joined the United States Army and served for six years, stationed in Germany and Iraq during the early 2000’s. During his service, he received many decorations, including: Iraq Campaign Medal with Two Campaign Stars, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal (2nd award), Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Non-Commissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, and Driver and Mechanic Badge. Daniel’s selfless commitment to duty, honor and country stayed with him long after his honorable discharge in 2012. His time in the Army gave his life direction and purpose, helping him grow into the strong gentleman he became.

Following his service, Daniel continued his education at Universal Technical Institute, and graduated May 24th, 2013. He studied to become a diesel mechanic, building on skills he learned in the Army.

Daniel held several jobs throughout his life and was most recently working as an electrical line associate for CES.

Daniel was an independent, loving young man. He valued his alone time, but brought much joy to his family and friends, making them laugh with his sense of humor and quick wit. He had many lifelong friends he kept in regular contact with and was close with his family and extended family. He and his mother had a special relationship, especially as of late, with Daniel stepping into a caregiver role for her.

He enjoyed playing video games, logging many hours on his PS5. A dedicated Dallas Cowboys fan, he enjoyed watching football as well. Daniel had a big heart for animals, and had several beloved dogs in his life, including Dawg and Packer.

Daniel was a devoted son, grandson, brother, nephew, uncle, cousin, soldier, and friend. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him and loved him.

He is survived by his parents Connie and stepfather Rick Loschen; his siblings Timothy “Tim” (Andrea) Beadles; Erin Neeley, Miranda (Daniel) Reck; Jennifer (Kelly) Beadles, and Rick (Sonnie) Loschen Jr.; several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles and many cousins.
