Daniel Harcourt

Daniel Earl Harcourt, 63, of Brownsburg, passed away on Sunday, March 31, 2013. He was born on July 12, 1949 in Shelbyville, IN to Robert and Rosalie (Montanye) Harcourt. Dan was a 1967 graduate of Speedway High School and earned his BS from Indiana State and his BA from IUPUI. He taught at Eastbrook Elementary in Pike Township for 39 years, retiring in 2011. He was awarded the Who's Who Among American Teachers on 3 occasions. Dan was an avid golfer and devoted family man. He is survived by his wife of nearly 20 years, Candace Harcourt; children, Brian (Jennifer) Harcourt, Amy Harcourt, Elizabeth Delperdang; step-daughter, Lindsay Powell; and 7 grandchildren. Dan is also survived by his father; brother, Michael Harcourt. He was preceded in death by his mother. Visitation for Dan will be held at Flanner and Buchanan-Speedway on Thursday, April 4, 2013 from 4pm until 8pm. Funeral services will be Friday morning at 10am, also at the funeral home.
