Daniel J. Green, Jr.
99, of Noblesville, Indiana passed away on October 19, 2014. Daniel was the son of Daniel J. Green, Sr. and Carrie Dodge Green. Daniel was born August 31, 1915 at Grandville Summit, Pennsylvania. At age 16 he graduated from Canton High School and entered Pennsylvania State University for two years. Daniel has was a fifty year resident of Bradford County where he owned a construction business. Upon his relocation to Indiana, he developed a new construction business, whereby he built may fine homes and commercial buildings. Daniel was a member of the Indiana Society of Mayflower Descendants for 42 years and was a member of the Sons of American Revolution for 41 years. Daniel was the last living grandson of Nathaniel Dodge, who served in the Civil War (1861-1865). Daniel is survived by his wife, Theresa, and children; James (Kathy), Dale (Dorothy), Ronald (Jenny), Maryann, Kathleen (Larry), Nancy (Rick), Deborah (Gary), Michael (Kathryn), 15 grandchildren, with numerous great-grandchildren into the fifth generation. Services will be held on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at 1 p.m. with calling one hour prior at Flanner and Buchanan-Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, Indianapolis, Indiana. Entombment will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, Indianapolis, Indiana.
