Daniel Edward Traphagan

Daniel E. Traphagan Of Noblesville, IN, passed away September 2, 2013. Dan was born December 13, 1943 in North Platte, NE to Robert R. and Valerie I. Traphagan. He spent his childhood on his father's cattle ranch in McPherson County, NE. Dan joined the U.S. Navy after graduation from St. Patrick's High School in 1962. He served as a Petty Officer aboard the destroyer U.S.S. Floyd B. Parks until his discharge in 1965. After military service, Dan worked for United of Omaha as a Computer Programmer. In 1973, he moved to Indianapolis to work for Blue Cross/Blue Shield until he accepted an early retirement offer in 1995. He then worked for Indecom, Inc. until final retirement in 2006. Dan is survived by his wife Sarah, daughters, Tina (Doug), Tracie (Rob), Tami (Chad), Tarah (Erin) and Ashley, son Zachary, sisters, Diane and Debra, brother Bob and 9 grandchildren. Dan was preceded in death by his parents. Memorial Service: 6:00 P.M. Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013 with calling from 4:00 to 6:00 in Flanner and Buchanan – Hamilton Memorial Park.
