Danae Mondragon Rodriguez

June 9, 1993 — April 10, 2023

Indianapolis, Indiana

Danae Mondragon Rodriguez, 29, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on April 10, 2023. She was born on June 9, 1993, in Mexico City, Mexico to parents, Roberto Mondragon and Maria Guadalupe Rodriguez. Danae came to the U.S. at 11 years old, in October of 2004. Even though she didn’t speak English, Dana had the desire and courage to get ahead and continue studying, as well as make friends that continue to last. Despite her bold personality she found friends that truly valued her. Among them is Zayra and Giselle, they were always with her. They were the 3 musketeers. Dana graduated from North Central High School. Dana was able to accomplish her dream. She opened her own company. Of course it took time but she saw that all the effort she put into her american dream was paying off.

Danae always had a welcoming smile and comforting laugh to anyone she would talk to. She loved to be the one to help with anything that may have been needed, no matter what. She always thought of others before herself. Danae loved to travel, go shopping, spend the days dancing away, and loved to watch movies, especially any of the Harry Potter movies. She loved spending time with her family and made sure they always knew they were loved. For her, family always came first. Her favorite person is her niece Monse Soberanes, and her kids after her (according to Monse). Danae loved her job and was always coming up with new ideas for her company. She always enjoyed her life to the fullest, nothing could stop her. She was always strong and brave, she was actually our “hispanic pride”. She had strong charisma, she would definitely be a person you wouldn’t forget. One way or another she would impact you. She never gave up, despite the odds. No words could truly express the type of person she was. Needless to say, her family is and will always be proud of her for what she accomplished.

Danae is survived by her mother, Maria Rodriguez; husband, Javier Garcia; children, Leonardo Garcia, Eden Garcia, and Ximena Garcia; sister, Yuri Mondragon; brothers, Guillermo Mondragon and Roberto Mondragon; and many friends and other family.

She was preceded in death by her father, Roberto Mondragon.

Visitation for Danae will be from 3-6pm on Friday, April 14, 2023, at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East – 10722 E. Washington St., Indianapolis, IN 46229, with a funeral service immediately following at 6pm.
