Dale R. Preston

Dale R. Preston 75 of Greenwood, IN passed away July 27, 2011 at St. Francis Hospital in Beech Grove. Dale was retired from the Marion County Sheriff’s Department in 1999 and was a member of the American Legion Post 777, VFW Post 5864 in Greenwood and the Greenwood Community Center. Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Susan (Bartholomew) Preston; son, Steve (Angela) Preston; daughter, Jenny (Paul) Toms; sisters, Darleen, Carolyn, Faith and Pam; brothers, John and Richard; grandchildren, Andy and Alex Toms, Izzy and Shanna Preston; mother, Audrey Preston. He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Preston. He was loved and will be missed by his family and friends. Memorial Services will be 3:00 pm Sunday, August 14, 2011 at Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center – Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St.. Friends may visit with the family after 2:00 pm prior to the service. Contributions may be made to St. Francis Hospice or American Cancer Society.
