Dakota Lee Stump

Dakota Lee Stump,19 of Avon, IN was born July 15, 1997 in Indianapolis and passed away October 10, 2016 at Fort Hood, Texas. Dakota graduated from Avon High School. He was involved with the Area 31 Fire and Rescue, was a Life Guard with Indy Parks, and was a boxer. He was a kind soul who loved people. Dakota enjoyed hunting, fishing, being outdoors, playing his guitar, and singing. Dakota knew he wanted to be in the Army since he was 7 years old and joined in April 2016. He graduated from Basic Training on July 15, 2016 and was assigned to the 4th Squadron, 9th Cavalry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division.

He is preceded in death by his father, Thomas Stump and grandparents, Lorraine Stump and Harold Wise, Sr. Surviving to cherish his memory are his mother Patrice Wise (Paul Helling), brothers, Dustin Campbell, Douglas Stump, Brady Stump and sister, Lucy Stump and grandparents, Patricia Wise and Curtis and Cheryl Stump.

Friends may visit from 1:00 PM until service time at 3:00 PM, Saturday, November 12, 2016 at Flanner and Buchanan – Floral Park, 425 N. Holt Road, Indianapolis 46222.
