Craig Steven Carey, 74, of Indianapolis, passed away on Thursday, August 12, 2021.  He was born on July 12, 1947, in Indianapolis, IN to the late Rollin M. Carey and to Lois Charlene Sallee.

Craig graduated from Thomas Carr Howe High School class of 1965 where he served as class president.  He then went on to earn an Associates of Science degree (Highest Distinction) in Computer Technology from Purdue University Indianapolis in 1972.  After college, he worked for Community East Hospital, Lane Bryant, and then spent 27 years with the Health and Hospital Corporation before retiring in 2006.

Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Delores Carey; Children: Cheryl (Tim) Wooster; Toni (John) Newett; Lindy (John) Schuler; Micala Carey; Lili (Josh) Carey-Wilkerson; Christian Carey; grandchildren, Amy and Jill Wooster, Ethan, Tyler, Ainsley, and Casey Newett; Maddie and Kendrick Schuler; Taren White and Levina Carey; Siblings: Sheila (Floyd) Essink and Terri Sue Zawisa.

Funeral Arrangements as follows:

Thursday, August 19th visitation at Flanner Buchanan-Speedway 2950 N High School Road Speedway, IN 46224 between the hours of 4pm-8pm. Friday mass will be at St. Gabriel Catholic Church 11 am.
