Corbetta Ann (Wright) Barrett

Corbetta Ann (Wright) Barrett, affectionately known as Corki, passed away peacefully in her home on January 7, 2025, in Whitestown, Indiana. She was born on May 23, 1943, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to the late Corbett Wright and Opal (Moore) Wright.

Corki was deeply loved by her friends, family, and pets. She touched many lives with her wit, kindness, and tender heart. Known for her generous spirit, Corki was a great listener who loved helping others. She spent her retirement volunteering at her church and various charities, bringing joy and support to those in need.

Corki was an excellent cook who delighted in preparing meals for her loved ones. She also enjoyed puzzles of all kinds, cross-stitching, and visiting with friends. Her hobbies reflected her patience, creativity, and love for connecting with others.

On October 13, 1970, Corki married Donald Barrett at the courthouse in Lebanon. They shared 37 wonderful years together before Don's passing in 2008. Corki was preceded in death by her parents, Corbett and Opal; her sisters, Patti Heman and Chris Cunningham; her brothers, Wayne Wright and Mike Wright; and her son, David Barrett.

Corki is survived by her sister, Susie Wright; her daughters, Terri Doll and Lisa Thomas; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
