Constance Barnes was born on January 18, 1944 in East Chicago, Indiana to the union of Parker Lee Duncan and Rose Kay Perry. She graduated from East Chicago Washington High School and subsequently attended Business College. Connie worked for the Lake County Prosecutor's office for 41 years. She was a dedicated hard worker. Connie retired as the office manager of the Hammond office in 2010. Connie was a shining example of God's love. She was kind, generous, and humble with a heart of gold. She had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to laugh. Connie enjoyed travelling, shopping, dining out, and following the Chicago Bulls. She also thoroughly enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Connie was an amazing mother and grandmother. She demonstrated constant and unconditional love to her family, much like God. Connie was preceded in death by her parents, Parker Lee Duncan and Rose Kay Perry; grandmother, Gussie Tabb; son in law, Kenneth Madison; brother, Frank Perry, Jr; uncles, Robert Williams and Willie Williams; aunts, Loretta Terry, Queen Triggs, and Dorothy Price;. She leaves to cherish her memory: her loving daughter, Angela Madison; beloved grandson Donavan Jackson; brother, Rene' Perry; aunt, Jacqueline Martin; uncles, Clarence Williams and Melvin Williams; special cousin, Queeneta Freeman; and many loving family and friends. She will be missed by all. Connie graduated from earthly life on December 6, 2013. She passed peacefully at home and has now acquired her wings.
