Connie Jo Sloan, Age 85, of Fishers, Indiana, passed away peacefully on April 6, 2026 with her family by her side.

Connie was born September 10, 1940 in Evansville, Indiana, the daughter of Esther and Harold Hartley and the oldest of 5 children. She graduated from Patoka High School in 1958 and worked at the Tastee Freeze for a year waiting for the love of her life, Don, to graduate Purdue. They were married June 7, 1959.

While the kids were growing up Connie was a Girl Scout Leader, Sunday School Teacher, Softball Coach and Vacation Bible School Director. She worked at Weight Watchers in Material Management and Inventory Control for 19 years. After retirement, her and Don’s new past-time was golf and snow-birding in Marco Island, Florida. Another goal was to visit all 50 states which she completed in June 2017 with a trip to Idaho.

Remaining to cherish Connie’s memory are her children: LaDonna Sloan, Andy & Donna Sloan, Linda & Kevin Minter, Brenda & Joe Kitterman; grandchildren: Skye and Valentine Felipe, Andrew Sloan, Trent Minter, Derek & Connally Minter, Caroline & Chase Elliott; great-grandchildren: Daymon Whitis, KarleiAnn Sloan, Dominic Felipe, Ayden Felipe, Alicia Felipe and great-great grandsons: Joseph Felipe and Ricardo Moreno.

Visitation and funeral will be held Saturday April 18, 2026 in the Good Shepherd Chapel at Flanner Buchanan - Oaklawn Memorial Gardens (9700 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis.) Visitation is 1:00pm – 2:30pm, funeral service starting at 2:30pm with Pastor Danny Walker officiating. Interment will be in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens immediately following the service.

Memorial donations in lieu of flowers can be made to the American Cancer Society.
