Connie Joyce Harper

Connie Harper, 73, of Fortville, passed away July 26^th, 2023. She was born in Kentucky September 14^th, 1949, to parents Thomas and Hazel (Turner) Radford.

As a young woman, Connie met the love of her life, Phil Harper Sr. They shared many wonderful years together and welcomed three beautiful children into the world. Phil passed away June 2002.

She worked and retired from the Indianapolis Health department where she worked as a records representative.

Connie was a strong, loving lady. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She and her husband Phil enjoyed traveling, and even spent a few years living in their camper, exploring the country. Connie loved to cook, and in her free time, she enjoyed knitting and settling in with a good book.

She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Connie is survived by her children Dawn Renee Hudson, Rachel Kelly Marie Phillips, and Phil (Michelle) Harper Jr.; grandchildren Kari L. Smithes, Phillip O. Harper III, Silas Phillips, and Liam Phillips; great granddaughter Daisy Lee Kay Smithes; and siblings Diane House, Rick Radford, and Lonnie Radford.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Phil Harper Sr; her granddaughter Megan Harper; and her parents.

Visitation will be Monday July 31^st, at Flanner Buchanan Washington Park East, from 10am-2pm. Her funeral service will begin at 2pm. She will be laid to rest at Washington Park East Cemetery.
