Indianapolis

Connie Marie (French) Diaz, 77, of Indianapolis, passed away on August 21, 2026. Born in Indianapolis on February 3rd, 1949, to the late Rondell and Mary (Ryan) French. She married Walter Diaz on January 15, 1972. Their union made an instant family of adult children and grandchildren. She worked over 20 years at Logo7/Addias supervising in the embroidery department.

Connie’s dedication to family is what stands out the most about her loving spirit. She was a wonderful example of what it meant to love unconditionally. She had a way of making people feel loved and cared for by welcoming them into her home, cooking for them, or just being with them during hard times. Her Calvary Tabernacle church family meant so much to her. The faith she had in the Lord led her through the deaths of her husband and son. As well as the difficulties life throws at you. She was a cherished constant in many lives that will leave an emptiness in our hearts.

Connie is preceded in death by her loving husband Walter Diaz, her dear son Tony Diaz and her stepson Ricardo Diaz.

Connie is survived by her daughter Angela (Todd) Everton, grandchildren Morgan (Michaela) Everton, Wyatt (Kaylin) Everton, and Melaina Everton. Her 5 great grandchildren, Axel, Jackson, Elise, Clay and infant granddaughter-who is due any day. Her 5 stepchildren and their families. Her sisters Mona (Bill) Fortner, Sherrie (Ron) Bell, Lavonne (Steve) Jones, Rachele (Mike) Suddarth and the late Rondell French Jr., as well as her cherished nephews and nieces.

A visitation will be held in Connie’s honor 10-12pm Friday August 28th, 2026, the service will follow at 12pm, all to take place at Flanner Buchanan-Memorial Park Funeral Center. She will be laid to rest afterwards at Memorial Park Cemetery.
