Connie Ruth Coir (née Clampitt)
Connie Ruth Coir, of Speedway, Indiana, passed away peacefully on May 27, 2026, at the age of 73.
Born on March 24, 1953, Connie was one of seven children born to Ruth Donovan in Terre Haute, Indiana. From an early age, she demonstrated the determination, work ethic, and spirited personality that would define her life. To put herself through college, Connie worked nights in a record factory while earning her degree in Marketing from Indiana State University—a testament to her ambition.
Connie built a successful and respected career in sales and marketing that spanned multiple industries. She was known for her intelligence, blunt nature, and ability to connect with people from all walks of life. Her tenacity helped her succeed wherever she went, while her warmth and sense of humor made her a favorite among colleagues, friends, and clients alike.
Connie had a gift for brightening every room she entered. Quick-witted, engaging, and endlessly resilient, she brought energy and laughter to those around her. She was also a passionate sports fan who rarely missed an opportunity to cheer on her favorite teams and share the excitement of the game with family and friends.
Above all, Connie treasured her family. She is survived by her devoted husband, Phil Coir; her son, Adam Dietrich, and his wife, Stephanie Dietrich; and her beloved grandson, George, who brought her immense joy. She is also survived by her siblings and many extended family members and friends whose lives were enriched by her presence.
Connie will be remembered for her strength, humor, and unwavering love for her family. Her legacy lives on in the countless lives she touched and the memories she created with those who knew and loved her.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
