Concetta Corsaro Hughes

78, of Carmel and Sarasota, Florida, passed away May 27, 2016 unexpectedly. She was born on June 19, 1937 in Indianapolis, Indiana, to Anthony and Elizabeth Mahern Corsaro. She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas M. Hughes.

Concetta was a graduate of St. Mary’s Academy in Indianapolis. Her passion was her family, she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She loved walking along Siesta Key Beach, and living on Grandview Lake. She was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church.

She is survived by her children Tom (Susan), Tony (Mary), Michael, Brian (Maureen) Hughes, Sheila (Shawn) Heffern, Beth (Michael) Krutz and seventeen grandchildren; Tom, Brad, Matt (Maggie), Ashley, Lindsay (Bo) Sexson, Courtney (Matt Ambrose), Brian (Alissa), Tony and John Hughes, Shawn Patrick, Nicole, Katie and McKenna Heffern, Michael, Carson, Peyton and Ian Krutz. She is also survived by her siblings Anthony (Mary Rae) Corsaro, Frank (Judy) Corsaro, Joe Corsaro, William Corsaro, Eva Corsaro, Antoinette (Mike) Hood, and Mark Corsaro and her sister in law Kitty (Dan) Shannon.

Visitation will be from 4:00 7:00 pm on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton church Carmel, Indiana. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at the church. Interment will be at Our Lady of Peace Cemetery.
