Clifford Ronald Gregory

Clifford Ronald Gregory, 75, of Indianapolis, passed away at his home on January 3, 2019 surrounded by loved ones.  Cliff was born on November 13, 1943 in Stearns, Kentucky to Helen Roberta Gregory and Floyd Andrew Gregory.  Cliff married the love of his life, Judy Proffitt Gregory, on June 24, 1966.

Cliff was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Donald Gregory and Edward Gregory, and his beloved bride who left this earth on December 17, 2018.  He is survived by his sister, Betty Lou Perkins (Pine Knot, KY), and his brother, Roger Gregory (Indianapolis, IN).  Cliff and Judy had several non-biological family members who loved them deeply, including but not limited to:  Luke Nalker (Godson), Kori Nalker Siebert (Mike) (Goddaughter), dear friends and neighbors Phil and Robin Paul, several nieces and nephews, “grandchildren by heart” Shelbi McConnell (Garrett), PJ Paul, and Elaina Siebert.  Cliff was also “great Pa” to Stoshu McConnell and Marek McConnell.

Cliff was a graduate of McCreary County High School (Whitley City, KY), a veteran of the United States Air Force, and a retiree from the Department of Veterans Affairs where he served as the Loan Guarantee Officer.   Cliff was a man of God, fervently serving God and others as a long-time elder of Mars View Christian Church.  Cliff was well-known for being a man of integrity and wisdom, sharing life lessons with so many who loved him dearly.

Visitation will be Sunday, January 6, 2019 from 12:30pm-2:00pm with services at 2:00pm at Mars View Christian Church (3101 S. Holt Road, Indianapolis, IN  46221) with arrangements by Flanner Buchanan-Decatur Township.  Graveside services will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at 2 pm at Isenbergy Cemetery, Tompkinsville, Kentucky.   The family requests no flowers or gifts, but encourages memorial contributions to Mars View Christian Church, the Humane Society, or a charity of your choice.
