Clifford Leo "Poppy" Richmann, 88, Indianapolis, passed away January 8, 2015. He was born on July 29, 1926 in Indianapolis, the son of George and Mable (Mason) Richmann. Clifford proudly served in Germany in the Army during WW II. He retired from Ford Motor Company after more than 30 years of dedicated service. Clifford was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who loved his family. In his spare time, Clifford enjoyed fishing, gardening, working in his yard, watching NASCAR, and creating beautiful stained glass pieces. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, James Richmann. Clifford is survived by his wife of 70 years, Mary Louise Richmann; his children, Verla Hessman (Bob), and Cindy Morrow (Tom); his grandchildren, Kevin Hessman, Beth Rickert, Anna Messer, and Aaron Messer; his great-grandchildren, Megan Rickert, Nathan Rickert, Austin Garard, and Adam Garard; his sister, Helen Creviston; and his sister-in-law, Wanda Richmann. Services will be on Monday, January 12 at 1 PM at Flanner and Buchanan- Memorial Park, 9350 E. Washington Street. Visitation will be on Sunday, January 11 from 3-7 PM, and also from 12 PM until service time on Monday. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery with military honors.
