Clifford Arvis Short

Clifford A. Short, age 96, died on April 22, 2014. Beloved wife of the late Clair A. Short, Jr., loving mother of John R. Short; Valeska Short Ellis (William); devoted grandmother of William T. Ellis, Jr. (Eva) and Thomas C. Ellis. Daughter of Thomas and Annie Sue Rogers, she was the oldest of seven siblings and grew up in East Texas. After World War II, she and her husband moved to Indianapolis where they raised their family. They were charter members of St. Andrew Presbyterian Church where she taught Sunday School. She loved playing bridge, golfing, bowling, gardening and travelling. A Memorial Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 10 at 12 noon with calling from 10-12 at Flanner and Buchanan–Washington Park North.
