Cleveland E. Maffett Jr.

Cleveland Edward Maffett Jr., 58, of Noblesville, Indiana passed away peacefully surrounded by his wife and children on March 25, 2023, at Indiana University Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana.

He was the first child born to the union of Cleveland Edward Maffett Sr. and Jeanette Moore Maffett. He graduated with a Bachelors of Science degree from Wilberforce University and was a proud brother of Phi Beta Sigma.

He was always making people laugh and smile. His playful and joking spirit was felt by everyone. He loved life and never took things too seriously. Cleveland enjoyed live jazz, movies, sports, and his dogs. He passionately followed The Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cleveland Browns. He lived for and adored his family, and was especially proud of his three children. He will be forever and always remembered and loved.

Cleveland’s mother preceded him in death as well has his oldest sister Victoria Sheppard-Onassis.

He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Angela Avery Maffett and his children: Adrianne, Anissa, and Christian.

He is survived by siblings Terri Faulkner; Edward Reginald Spaulding; Claudine Marie Hunt; and Stephanie Peterson; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The hour of sharing is 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm on March 31, 2023, with Celebration of Life and Repast to follow at 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. To be held at Flanner Buchanan – Hamilton Memorial Park (Prairie Waters), 4180 Westfield Road Westfield Road, Noblesville, IN 46062.
