It is with profound sadness that the family of Claudia Victoria (Teasley) Pryor, affectionately known as Vicki, announces her passing on the evening of Sunday, September 6, 2026. Vicki was born on July 11, 1952, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to the late Claude Victor Teasley, Jr. and the late Emma Jean (Martin) Teasley.

Vicki believe in the Lord with all her heart. She was a woman of intelligence, determination, compassion, and an extraordinary capacity to love. She graduated from Manuel High School in 1970, where she proudly played the flute in the school band and participated in Color Guard. Her love of learning continued at Indiana University, where she earned both a Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature and a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.

Of all the accomplishments in her life, Vicki’s greatest joy was the family she built with the love of her life, Art Pryor. For 54 beautiful years, Vicki and Art shared a life filled with love, devotion, laughter, compassion, and adventure. Together, they raised their children, Christopher, Brittany, and Amanda, creating a home where family was always at the heart of everything they did. Their five decades together were a testament to a love that endured through every season of life.

Vicki had a gentle heart when it came to animals, and she passed that love down to her children. Some of the most treasured family memories were made together at their family farm, Boone Creek Farms. There, Vicki could often be found caring for the many cats, dogs, chickens, and horses that became part of the family. She believed animals deserved kindness, patience, and love, and she gave those things freely.

Among all the animals she cared for, horses held a particularly special place in Vicki’s heart. She found a sense of peace and freedom in riding and cherished the time she spent in the saddle. Her passion for horses led her to become a member of the Girls Barrel Racing Association of Indiana, where she proudly competed and earned several trophies for her accomplishments.

When she wasn’t tending to the farm or caring for her beloved animals, Vicki could often be found doing the things that brought her happiness—attending rodeos, getting lost in a good book, listening to music, and, most importantly, spending time with the people she loved. Her husband, children, and grandchildren were a constant source of pride and joy, and the memories she created with them will be treasured for generations to come.

Vicki leaves behind a legacy that cannot be measured simply by the years she lived, but by the love she gave. She taught her family the importance of compassion, perseverance, curiosity, and kindness. She showed them that a meaningful life could be found in both the grand adventures and the quiet moments—the sound of music, the words of good book, a day spent on the farm, a ride on horseback, and time gathered together with those you love.

Though her absence will leave an immeasurable space in the hearts of her family and friends, Vicki’s love will continue to live on through the people she touched, the lessons she taught, the animals she cared for, and the countless memories she leaves behind. She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Vicki is survived by her loving husband, Arlet “Art” A. Pryor; children, Christopher Andrew Pryor, Brittany Anne Pryor, and Amanda Alexandria Pryor; daughter-in-law, Michelle Olivia Armstrong; grandchildren, Finnley Christopher Armstong-Pryor and Violet Marcelline Armstrong-Pryor; and her brother, James Martin Teasley (Holly). She was preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Emma Teasley; and her sister, Nancy Lynn Teasley.
