Claude Jefferson "C.J." Qualls

Claude Jefferson “C.J.” Qualls, 86, resident of Shreveport, Louisiana passed away December 19, 2021 surrounded by his loved ones. He was married for 61 years to Barbara A. Qualls who preceded him in death.  He was born in Virginia. He formerly lived in Indianapolis where he worked at Hy Grades and Chrysler.  He relocated to Shreveport in 1983, where he worked at Caddo Parish Schools and had a lawn service. Claude was a member of Summer Grove Baptist Church. Claude is survived by one brother: Kenny Qualls (Debbie) and three sisters: June Haston, Brenda Sparks, and Angie Garrett (Gene).  He is also survived by two special nieces, Leanne Lopez and Gwynne Clavijo, along with numerous other nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, as well as a host of other family members. He was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. Services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at Flanner Buchanan – Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, 9700 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis, IN. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
