Clarice Lorraine Sherfield

Clarice Lorraine (Chanley) Sherfield 93 of Indianapolis died March 15, 2015. Clarice was born in Indianapolis on November 25, 1921 to Clarence James and Isabelle (Donahue) Chanley. Clarice graduated George Washington High School. Clarice and her husband Maurice "Johnny", owned and operated Ohio Food Market in Indianapolis from 1949 to 1974. Clarice was a member of North Liberty Christian Church since 1960 and she was a member of the Eastern Star and VFW Post #98 where she was an avid euchre player. In her later years Clarice worked at Robin Run Village as a server in the dining room. She was preceded in death by her husband Maurice Homer "Johnny" Sherfield and her son Timothy Maurice Sherfield. A Memorial Service is scheduled for Saturday March 21, 2015 at 2 pm at North Liberty Christian Church 5429 Lafayette Road Indianapolis, IN 46254. Clarice is survived by her daughter Cynthia "Cindy" Anne (Mark) Weis and four grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Inurnment will be in Floral Park Cemetery.
