73 years old,

passed away from this life on Monday, July 25, 2016. Clarence had accepted Christ

as his Savior and was a member of Faith Baptist Church of Greenfield, Indiana. Clarence

worked for many years and retired from McDougal and Pierce in 2005. He was the

son of the late William “Bill” and Laura Rose Dykes. He married Donna Godby

Dykes on April 30, 1966. To this union 2 children were born. Martha (Chris)

Spangler of New Palestine, Indiana, Mark (Kelly) Dykes of Fairland, Indiana

along with his wife and children.

He is survived by grandchildren, Brett Smoot,Jeremy, Alivia, Grace, and Lily Dykes. Step grandchildren Dylan, Hayley,Kristen, Austin, Hannah, Abby Spangler and step great granddaughter, AddisonSpeedy. Sisters, Lila (Norm) Thompson of Muncie, Indiana. Hulda (Charles) Baughof Somerset and sister in law Barbara Dykes of Somerset, Ky. Other than hisparents he was preceded in death by his in laws George and Edna Godby;brothers, Lawrence, Roy, and Oscar Dykes, sisters, Beulah Phelps, Iva Goff,Christine Griffth, Arettia Goff, and Faye Wiggington. He leaves behind several nieces,nephews, and friends to mourn his passing.

The familywill like to thank everyone for their prayers that were prayed for Clarence’ssalvation and his health.

Family and Friends may gather from 4:00pm-8:00pmThursday, July 28, 2016 with Funeral Service Friday, July 29, 2016 at 2:00pm inFlanner and Buchanan-Washington Park East 10722 E. Washington St. Indianapolis.
