Clara M. Spidel

S Clara Mae Spidel, 73 of Carmel passed away November 28, 2014. She was born September 4, 1941 in Monon, Indiana to the late Robert and Edith Sullivan. She was a graduate of Frankfort High School, Frankfort, Indiana. Clara was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was retired after many years as a homemaker and then a career in the banking business in Carmel. Her greatest love was her family, including her cats. Clara enjoyed gardening, and together with her husband, created a beautiful backyard oasis inspired by the two years they spent in Japan. Clara is survived and will be deeply missed by her husband James, sons Scott (Brooke) and Greg, grandchildren Sophie and Brady and brothers Robert Sullivan of Tipton, George Sullivan of Indianapolis and William Sullivan of Lafayette. The visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at Flanner and Buchanan-Carmel. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 am Thursday, December 4 at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Humane Society for Hamilton County.
