Clara Krill

Clara V. Krill, 98, Noblesville, IN and formerly of South Bend, passed away January 22, 2012. She was born November 6, 1913 in South Bend, the daughter of Martin and Hattie (Aftowski) Jachimiak. Clara was a homemaker. She enjoyed watching football and was a fan of Notre Dame and the Green Bay Packers. Clara also enjoyed gaming, including playing slots and bingo. She was preceded in death by her husband, Chauncey E. Krill on August 4, 1985, her daughter, Judy Helenburg, her great-granddaughter, Ashley Riffel, her sons-in-law, Ray Lekarczyk and William Helenburg, her sisters, Henrietta Labis and Dorothy Haughton, and her brothers, Joe Jachimiak and Stanley Satkowski. Clara is survived by her daughters, Sharon Lekarczyk and Barbara Lloyd (James), both of Noblesville; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and nine step-great-grandchildren. Services will be on Wednesday, January 25 at 2 PM at Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, with visitation from 12 PM until service time. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery.
