Clara W Copeland-Dover

Clara Hamby (Copeland) Dover 91 of Avon, Indiana passed away May 12, 2025. Clara was born on April 08,1934 in Tannerville, VA., to William B. and Nellie (Patrick) Hamby. Clara was an apartment manager for the Lakeview Village Apartment Complex for 25 years. She was a member of the Lynhurst Baptist Church where she held many offices including being a proud member of the Choir as well as her work in the Church Community Center. Clara was preceded in death by her husbands, William “Bill” I. Copeland and James Dover and her sister Billie Sue Reed. A memorial calling will be held on Thursday May 15, 2025 at Flanner Buchanan-Speedway from 11 am to 1 pm with a Celebration of Life beginning at 1 pm. Clara is survived by her children; Valerie (Scott) Roberts, Alan (Pam) Copeland, Patricia “Trisha” (David Rizzuti) Copeland, Jonathan (Katie) Copeland, Dan (Nancy) Dover, Donna (Dave) Van Dam, Gary (Angie) Dover, and Gail (Bill) Bloom, 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren and her siblings, June Page, Melanie “Pat” Campbell, Joy (John) Roe, and Ben (Sandy) Hamby and many nieces and nephews. Memorial contribution may be given to the Lynhurst Baptist Church.
