1958 Cindy 2026

Cindy Jean Morris

March 12, 1958 — January 17, 2026

Indianapolis

Cindy Jean Morris came into this world on March 12, 1958 to the joy of her parents Leslie & Ordena Stover. The world lost a force to be reckoned with when the Lord called her home on January 17th, 2026 at 1:40 pm. A moment in time that her family will never forget. She was the 2nd oldest of Les & Ordena’s 4 girls but was always looked to as the oldest as their first daughter stayed forever young. She took Debbie’s place as the one to show her younger siblings (Donna Combs & Brenda Ellis} what we could & couldn’t get away with.

Cindy was a popular girl in high school. She could always walk into any room and walk out with a fist full of new friends. She was friendly, funny & always up for a good time. She carried those characteristics with her as long as she lived. She was a talented violist, so talented that the Symphony Orchestra offered her a chair upon graduation. The only problem with that was that she was in love and didn’t like idea of being away from her love during the required travel. Instead, she married right after graduation and her babies followed quickly after. Cindy loved her sons, Benson (Jennifer) & Bradley (Melisa) Mason, with all her heart. Cindy had her demons that she fought but she always had a very close & personal relationship with God, being baptized while still in her teens.

Her marriage didn’t last but later in life she met the next love of her life, William (Bill) Stevens. Sadly, he preceded her in death and she mourned him for the rest of her life. She also endured losing her father (Leslie Stover), her sister (Debbie Stover) and her great grandbaby (Hunter Parris). She is survived by her mother, 2 sisters, sons & daughter-in laws, Benson (Jennifer) & Bradley (Melisa), 7 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren.

The family is enterally grateful to her youngest son Brad & his wife Melissa, whose exceptional love & care for her allowed us all an additional 18 months to spend with her. When she needed her family the most, they were the ones that opened their home & hearts to her. Their sacrifice has not gone unnoticed.

Services will be held at Flanner and Buchanan’s Washington Park East, 10612 E Washington St on Saturday, January 31st 2026. Family visitation will be from 12pm-1pm.
