Christy Lynn Stossmeister

Christy Lynn Stossmeister, of Indianapolis, passed away Tuesday, May 16, 2017. Christy was born in Indianapolis February 29, 1956 to the late George C. and Mary Kay Stossmeister. She was a graduate of Butler University and was the phone center manager for the Indiana State Legislature.

Christy sang in the Indianapolis Women’s Chorus; she was a dancer, writer and lover of language. She was a founding member of Sacred Path Church.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 7:00 pm Wednesday, May 24 at the Unitarian Universalist Church.

Christy is survived by her brothers, Hache, William and Sterling Stossmeister; cousins, Cyndi Sherman, Lisa Ford, David Ford, Terri Driggers and Bill Haynes; step-siblings, John Davis, Dana Thomas, Jimmy Davis, Susan Jones and Robbins Hail and too many to list who loved her as Aunt Christy.
As a family we would like to thank her beloved friends from chorus, dance, work, life and seminar communities for all of their love and strength.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Indianapolis Women’s Chorus. Arrangements entrusted to Flanner and Buchanan-Broad Ripple.
