Christopher R. Tobin

Christopher R. Tobin, 59, Carmel, passed away March 2, 2015. He was born June 5, 1955, in Rochester, NY, the son of the late James R. and Nancy (Robb) Tobin. He married Susan (Scott) Tobin on July 15, 1978. Chris was one of the co-founders of PrimePay, Inc. and retired from active employment in June 2014. Prior to PrimePay, Chris spent many years working as an employee and manager for Paychex, Inc. He will always be remembered as being a very down-to-earth, hands on guy, with a quick to the point sense of humor. He loved the game of golf but more importantly he loved and cared for his family and friends. He was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, American Legion, and the VFW. He will be greatly missed by those that knew him and had the opportunity to work with him over the years. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Susan S. Tobin; children, James A. Tobin, Stephanie N. (Chad) Odaffer, Kathryn E. (Lance) Bundy; grandchildren, Carter Allen, Sophia Marie, and Cameron Charles Odaffer; and a brother, James R. (Barbara Kuznetz). Funeral Mass will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 7, 2015, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel, 14598 Oak Ridge Road. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friday, March 6, 2015, at Flanner and Buchanan – Carmel, 325 East Carmel Drive, and also one hour prior to the mass at the church.
