Christopher Mcgrath

Christopher K. McGrath, 51 of Cicero, passed away Friday, July 27, 2012. Chris was born May 13, 1961 in Indianapolis to the late Maurice F. and Barbara J. Wells McGrath. He was a 1979 graduate of Carmel High School and a 1986 graduate of Indiana University. Chris owned and operated his own landscaping business, JAMM Landscaping. Chris loved the outdoors, good food and lively conversation. He enjoyed IU Basketball, Norte Dame Football and cycling. Chris was fond of the finer things in life, cars and Jazz. Most importantly, he loved his family, his companion, his nieces and nephews and his dog, Ernie. Funeral services will be at 7:00 pm Wednesday, August 1 at Flanner and Buchanan-Carmel, where friends and family are invited to gather from 4:00 pm until the time of the service. Chris is survived by his brother, Mick (wife, Nancy Duncan) McGrath; sister, Kathi Walker; nieces and nephews, Kaity and Jaimie Walker, Jackson and Delaney McGrath, Jake Jones; companion, Libby Lyons. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jerry McGrath. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Fatima Retreat House.
