Christopher Lynn Maxton

Christopher Lynn “Chris” Maxton 71 of Greentown, Indiana formerly of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away April 5, 2024.  He was born July 22, 1952, in Joplin, Missouri to the late Willard L. and Thelma M.   (Williams) Maxton.  Chris, as he was known worked for AT&T as a Construction Splicer for over 34 years.  He enjoyed fishing, bowling, disc golf, traveling, and especially enjoyed spending time with his family and going to family get-togethers.  Chris proudly served his country in the United States Air Force.  He was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew him.  Chris is survived by his loving wife, Cathy A. (Miles) Maxton, his children, Andrew (Jennifer) Maxton, Steven (Lauren) Maxton, Lisa Johnson, Christina Matson, Cara Trine, his grandchildren, Heather (Kevin), Jamie, Breann (Lance), Samantha (Brandon), Lewis, Malachi, Mackenzie, Laila, Regan, his great grandchildren, Bradyn, Aleah, Brody, Kyla, Kadyn, Noah, Keyli, Aniyah, Kyren, Jax, his brothers, Mark Maxton, and Terry Maxton, and a host of extended family and friends.   Besides his parents he was also preceded in death by his stepmother, Millie Maxton.  To celebrate Chris’s life the family invites you to honor him and share with them your memories and stories on Thursday, April 18, 2024, from 1:00pm-3:00pm with his Memorial Service at 3:00pm at Flanner Buchanan Decatur Township 5463 Kentucky Ave. Indianapolis, IN.  He will be laid to rest at Marion National Cemetery in Marion, Indiana on April 25, 2024, 1:00pm.  To sign Chris’s online guest book and share your thoughts with his family please go to www.flannerbuchanan.com
