Christopher (Chris) J. Weber passed away on Thursday,February 25th. He was born on October 12, 1944, to Joseph Weber and UrsulaConlon Weber in Rochester, NY.
Chris lived a full and happy life, with family always at itscenter. His wife Marylin was the love and joy of his life and the object of hisendless devotion. They shared fifty-two years together after a fortuitous meetingon the first day of their student orientation at Marian College. Their life togetherproduced three proud sons, two doting grandchildren, and countless cherished friendships.Last year Chris and Marylin took the trip of a lifetime and spent seven months livinglike locals in Rosslare, Ireland. Chris was known to have a friendly word(always sincere) for any person he met, an answer (often right) to anyquestion, and a story or joke (usually funny) for any situation.
Chris, a man of unwavering faith, was a parishioner at St.Monica’s Catholic Church for more than forty years. His faith permeated hislife and fostered an unparalleled generosity of spirit with a rock steadycharacter that all could depend on.
Chris spent twenty-five years as an attorney withIndianapolis Power and Light and retired in 2001. During that time he fulfilleda dream to teach by instructing paralegal students in the IUPUI paralegalprogram. He enjoyed a second career with Baker and Daniels. In his “retirement”he found fulfillment helping the less fortunate navigate the legal system atIndianapolis Legal Aid. In addition to these achievements, he will be rememberedfor the kindness he showed to all.
Chris is survived by his wife Marylin, sons Patrick(Kendall), Jon (Angie), and Nick (Maureen), grandchildren Jacob and Madeleine,brothers Greg (Sue), Doug (Robyn), Mike (Susan) and sister Jo Ann Baker (Bill). He was preceded in death by his parents Josephand Ursula, and sister Kay.
Visitation will be held at Flanner and Buchanan WashingtonPark North, 2706 Kessler Blvd. West Drive, Indianapolis, IN, on Wednesday,March 2, 2016 at 5 pm-7 pm. A Funeral Masswill be celebrated at Christ the King Catholic Church, 1827 Kessler Blvd, EastDrive, Indianapolis, IN, on Thursday, March 3, 2016 at 10 am. In lieu offlowers, contributions may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, theMultiple Sclerosis Association, and Legal Aid of Indianapolis.
