Christine Susan Stuber Morrison passed away peacefully at home on May 9, 2012 after a long battle with cancer. She was born September 13, 1946 in New York, NY and grew up in Yorkville in Manhattan, with her parents Nicholas and Kathryn Wirtwein Stuber. She graduated from St. Vincent Ferrer High School, and Mary Byers Secretarial School. She married John Leo Morrison on November 23, 1974 in St. Joseph's of Yorkville. Her last full time job before becoming a full time mother was an Executive Secretary in the Trust Department at Manufacturers hanover Trust Co. She raised three children, Caroline Anne, James (Jim) Andrew (deceased), and Cathleen Marie. She is survived by her husband, her two daughters, son-in-law Donald Martin, and granchildren Cheyenne marie and Nathan Ross. Christine enjoyed the Arts and Museums and Zoo's, and tried to pass this on to others. She also enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, baking, reading, and traveling. She always kept in mind that you should try to do your best each day, and try to make family and friends feel better by her actions, even if it seems to be in a very small way. God says to treat others as you want to be treated, and Christine exemplified this and beyond in her everyday life.
