Chester Lee Doan

Chester Lee “Chet” Doan 66 of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away unexpectedly on February 14, 2024.   He was born December 4, 1957, here in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Doyle and Betty (Rice) Doan.  Chet, as he is affectionately known, was a Manager for Fresh Thyme Market in Broad Ripple. He enjoyed gardening, finding a bargain at any thrift store and he loved spending time with his family.  He was loved by many and will be dearly missed.   Chet was survived by his children, Ashley (Brandon) Whitesides, Brad (Becky) White, his grandchildren, Shawn, EJ, Caleb, Gavin, his sisters, Sherri (Roy) Sanders, Loretta (Matt) Gann, his dear friend, Bruce Stevenson, numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, extended family, and friends.  Chet was preceded in death by his parents.  The family invites you to join them on Monday, February 19, 2024, from 3:00pm until 7:00pm at Flanner Buchanan Decatur Township to share your memories and stories of Chet.  Memorial gifts may be directed to the donor’s favorite charity in memory of Chet.
