Cheryl D. Terry

Cheryl "Sherry" D. Terry 57, of Indianapolis, passed away February 21st. She was born September 29, 1954 at Methodist Hospital. A dedicated daughter and aunt, Sherry taught her family how to love. She was a masterful cook and knew how to throw a party. She taught her nieces and nephews how to do "The Twist", "The Bump", "The Stroll", and "The Funky Chicken". She leaves behind memories of late night ghost stories, holiday baking parties, driving lessons. Sherry is survived by her parents, Elbert and Julia Gillenwater, whom she loved with her BIG BIG heart. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews; Brandi, Billy, Chadwick, Andy, Marion, Christopher, Elsie, Audrie, Brendle, Lucus, and Lyndon. Sherry also leaves behind her dear friend, Ellie Noe. Funeral services will be held 2:00pm Friday, February 24, 2012 at Flanner and Buchanan, 10722 E. Washington St., Indianapolis, IN 46229, with burial in the Washington Park East Cemetery.
