Charlotte Lorine Lutin, aged 48, died peacefully on Thursday, September 16, 2021, in her home in Indianapolis, Indiana surrounded by her family and God’s love. Charlotte was born on May 3rd, 1973 in Hopkinsville, Kentucky to Debra Watson. She graduated from Richmond High School in 1991 and Covenant College in 1995. She then dedicated two years of her life to missionary work through Mission to the World in Ukraine and also served with Habitat for Humanity in Indianapolis and South Africa. Charlotte then became deeply rooted and committed to the Bates-Hendricks community in downtown Indianapolis. She later pursued a degree in nursing from Indiana University and then worked in an area she was passionate about, mom and baby care.
Charlotte was a free spirit who never stopped creating. Her talents were numerous gardening, cooking, sewing, being a beloved mother, a community volunteer, and a friend who loved to entertain. She also loved to travel the world both in books and in real life. Charlotte had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep, positive way, whether sitting on her porch and having a glass of wine with friends or gifting flowers to a neighbor whose garden she believed needed another touch or just displaying bravery and hope in the face of seemingly unsurmountable realities.
Charlotte was a follower of Jesus whom she loved and trusted throughout her life. As an outpouring of his grace, she was a passionately loving mother to her two daughters Keira Elyce Lutin and Estelle Jolie Lutin who were the deepest joys of her life. She is survived by her mother and stepfather, Debra and David Watson; her sisters and brothers-in-law Kourtney and Jess Morrissette and Kimberly and Chad Kulp, several nieces and nephews, and countless friends.
A celebration of life will be planned, and information will be communicated at a later date. In lieu of flowers, consider carrying on her passions for both education and community relief by donating to one of the following causes.
