Charlotte B. Anderson

June 12, 1925 — February 17, 2016

Ms. Charlotte B. Anderson, was born June 12, 1925 to thelate John and Bessie (White) Hall. Shewas the fifth child of six children born to this union.

Charlotteattended Indianapolis Public School # 26 and graduated from Crispus AttucksHigh School in 1942. She began hercareer working with the Veterans Administration in various positions. She wasmarried to William (Bill) Henry Killebrew in 1949. She relocated to Milwaukee, with Bill so hecould pursue his love of radio. Theymove backed to Indianapolis in 1951 to be back around family and to startraising her own family. For the years that followed she attended ButlerUniversity for two years, began as a part-time Real Estate Salesperson, workingwith W. T. Ray Realtors and other minorities Real Estate companies. In the 1960she joined the local chapter of the NAACP and held various offices and attendedmany National Conventions, as well as becoming a Lifetime Member. Charlotte loved the adventures life, travelingextensively. She married again to Dr.Joseph Anderson in 1967. She moved to Denver Colorado briefly beforecoming to Indianapolis to be with her mother who was ill then. Back in Indianapolis she picked up where sheleft off being involve in many social and civic organizations. Everyoneweekend her family would gather at her sister’s home, Jane, where Jimmywould prepare a soul food feast. Thisgathering was attended by many, many friends and relatives. There was always a party, an event or trip toattended.

All who knew Charlotte loved her and enjoyed her caring andvibrate ways, If you met her once younever forgot her wit and intelligence. Charlotte was outspoken when it needed to be done, but had a pure heartof gold.

Charlotte leaves to celebrate her life: sons Kevin, Vincent,and Steven, daughter-in-law, Michele Anderson, seven grandchildren, Allen,Jennifer, Shayda, Vincent II (lil Vince), Shane, Jack, Natalie, three greatgrandchildren Mason, Emory, Avery, niece and nephews, Stephanie, Gerald, Tomand a host of cousins from Indianapolis, Louisville, Kentucky, Cleveland, OH,and Kansas City, Missouri.
