Charlie Wilkerson

Charles Eugene "Charlie" Wilkerson, 73, of Greenfield, Indiana (formerly of Indianapolis) passed away on August 30, 2023. He was born February 8, 1950, in Indianapolis, Indiana. Charlie was an entrepreneur and had owned Wilkerson Automation for 32 years. Charlie was a very giving person to his friends and family and would have given his shirt off his back if necessary. He was an avid fan of Coach Bob Knight of IU basketball and Elvis Presley. As a young man his antics earned him the nickname of "Goodtime Charlie" bestowed upon him by his dad. He recently told his daughter he had no regrets. Charlie lived life to the fullest and on his own terms.

He is survived by his daughter Chasity Wilkerson, son Darrell Wilkerson, his father Paul R. Mize, his sister Darlene (Jene) Anderson, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Juanita R. DeWeese; daughter, Christina McKinney; stepmother, Mildred Mize; brother, Neil Burns; sister, Diane Mann and his grandparents Gordon and Myrtle Wilkerson.
