Charles William "Chuck" Shafer, Jr.

Charles William “Chuck” Shafer Jr., 70 of Carmel, passed away on Sunday January 6, 2019. He was born on January 8, 1948 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to the late Charles William Sr. and Katherine Shafer.

Chuck is survived by his wife, Vicki; son, Matthew (Charisse); grandchildren, Hazel and Rhett; brother-in-law, Larry (Jill) Whitney; and nephews, Brian and Elliot. He is preceded in passing by his sister, Gail Shafer.

Friends and family are invited to gather on Thursday January 10, 2019 from 4:00 to 7:00pm at Flanner Buchanan – Carmel (325 E Carmel Dr., Carmel, IN 46032). Additional visitation will be held on Friday January 11, 2019 at 10:00am, where a memorial service will begin at 11:00am at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the IU Simon Cancer Center or Park Tudor Baseball.
