Charles Ancil Walls, Jr. Rev. Walls passed away July 24, 2013. He was born to the late Charles Ancil and Mary Maysell Denney Walls June 30, 1920 in Indianapolis, Indiana. He has served as minister of visitation at Meridian Street United Methodist Church in Indianapolis, Indiana. In full time ministry he had been Pastor of churches in Indianapolis, Brazil, Bedford, Sullivan, Seymour, Aurora, Princeton and Oakland City. He had been a member of the faculty of Oakland City, IN College and Huston, TX Community College. In early years, he was an evangelist and led preaching missions in Indiana and Illinois. He was in radio broadcasting in Princeton, IN for three years. He was a 32 degree Mason. He had acted in degree in Scottish Rite Cathedral in Indianapolis, Terre Haute and South Bend. Rev. Walls received his higher education at Indiana University, University of Evansville and Garrett Evangelical Theological Seminary. He was a member of the South Indiana Conference of the United Methodist Church. He represented the Annual Conference on the board of Director of the Franklin United Methodist Community for 8 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Burton Walls. He is survived by his daughters, Sally Walls of Houston, TX and Maribeth Walls of Indianapolis, IN, grandson, Christian and daughter-in-law Wendy. Service will be 11:30 Saturday, July 27, 2013 at Meridian Street United Methodist Church. Calling will be Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 at Flanner and Buchanan – Broad Ripple.
