Charles W. Reed, Sr.

Charles W. Reed Sr., 84, Lakeland, Florida passed away on Friday, December 11, 2015.Charles was born on March 10, 1931, in Lexington, Kentucky, the son of Harkness Everett and Fannie Lee Reed.

He is survived by two daughters, Krystal Boyle (Dan) and Melissa Richardson (Mike) and three sons, Charles (Buzz) W. Reed, Jr. (Gay), Timothy L. Reed (Virginia) and Michael W.Reed (Terri), 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren, and a sister, Gladys Springfield of Lexington, Kentucky.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Washburn Reed and 2 daughters, Darlene Rice and Charlene Simmons.

Funeral service will be 1:00 PM, Thursday, December 17, 2015 at Flanner and Buchanan-Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St., Indianapolis, IN 46229. Visitation 1 hour prior to service. Burial Washington Park East Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Highlands Lake Center, 4240 Lakeland Highlands Rd, Lakeland, FL 33813 in memory of Charles Reed, and they will be directed to the Recreation Department to be used in outings and activities that he loved so much.
