Charles Theodore Wilson

Charles Theodore Wilson, 97 of Greenwood, IN passed away on Wednesday July 25, 2012. He was born on March 23, 1915 in Indianapolis, IN to George and Mary Josephine Coffin Wilson. He retired in 1981from Kroger after thirty-five years of service as a truck driver. He was a member of the Teamsters Union Local 135. He enjoyed making and flying kites. He has been known to make them out of any lightweight material such as plastic trash bags, paper sacks, etc. He also enjoyed fishing, model trains and especially spending time with his grandchildren who affectionately called him "Wilson". He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Leona F. Sills Wilson, sons Terry and Stan Wilson, daughter Lois Jean Harvey, brother, Jake and sister Georgia. Surviving to cherish his memory are his son Charles A. (Minnie) Wilson, daughters, Vicki (Bill) Adams, Kathy (Kenny) Dicus, daughter-in-law, Debby, brothers, John Harvey, Tom and Albert and sisters, Agnes and Mary as well as twenty-one grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Friends may call from 4-8 pm on Friday, July 27, 2012 at Flanner and Buchanan – Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St., Indianapolis. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 28, 2012 at Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center with Rev. Danny Thomas officiating. Interment will follow in Washington Park East Cemetery.
