Charles Joseph Sullivan

Charles J Sullivan passed away on Friday, September 18, 2026, at his home in Brownsburg IN. He was surrounded by his family.

Charles was born in Springfield OH to Imelda and James Sullivan on September 20, 1947. He married Jo Ellen Eliker on July 1, 1972, in New Madison, OH. They then moved to Indianapolis IN. They later moved to Mt Comfort IN where they raised their family. After retirement they moved to Brownsburg IN.

Charles graduated from Wright State University in 1972 with a Bachelor of Science in Systems Engineering. His passion for engineering carried over from his professional life to his many projects. Charles had an endless curiosity that fed his hobbies of geology, photography, karate, hiking and baking.

He is survived by his wife Jo Ellen Sullivan, children Erin (Michael) Effner and Ryan (Lindsey) Sullivan, grandchildren Elise Effner, Miles Effner, Bram Sullivan and Harlan Sullivan. He is also survived by his brother Arthur Sullivan. He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister Gail Banasiak.

Memorial service will be held at the West Ridge Park Cemetery Chapel on October 12, 2026, at 12:30pm.
