Charles Reiss

January 29, 1930 — October 31, 2012

Charles Reiss, Jr. New Palestine, Indiana. At the age of 82 went to be with his savior Jesus on October 31, 2012. He was born on January 29, 1930 in Lyons, Kansas the son of Charles and Ella (Heitschmidt) Reiss. Charles was a distributor of Watkins Products for over 60 years. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He was a former member of Warren Baptist Church where he served as a teacher and deacon. He is currently a member of Brookville Road Community Church, a member and volunteer with the Independent Order of Foresters, Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion. He was preceded in death by his wife, Edith (Roberts) Reiss; son, Steven M. Brewer; brother, Robert Reiss and a sister, Mary Getsinger. Survivors: 3 sons, Dan E. (Donna) Reiss, Ray F. Reiss and Charles (Carol) Reiss; 1 daughter, Janis Cook Eisman; daughter-in-law, Jackie (Rick) Brown; 1 sister, Marlene Reiss; 17 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren and 23 great great grandchildren. Visitation: 2:00 to 6:00 pm Sunday, November 4, 2012 at Flanner and Buchanan – Memorial Park 9350 E. Washington St. Indianapolis. Funeral Service: 10:00 am Monday, November 5, 2012 at the funeral center. Burial to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Alzheimer Foundation.
