Charles Kenneth "Speedy" Douglas, 78, of Brownsburg passed away peacefully on September 17, 2014. He was born October 21, 1935 in Newcomb, TN to the late Kermit and Fronia Hicks Douglas.
Speedy was known for his love of family, watching his races, animals, westerns, sweets, gardening, and salt. He was also a retired teamster of over 20 years, and was honored with an award for one million miles accident free.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Wanda Asher Douglas; son Charles (Kevin) Douglas, Jr., and Matthew W. Rose who was like a son; sister Helen (Donald) Cummins; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins who loved him dearly.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings Chester (Valda) Douglas and Barbara (Keith) Hensley.
