Charles (Chuck) William Gough a resident of Westfield, Indiana (formerly of Zionsville, IN) was called home to Heaven on May 7th 2026, with his wife and children by his side. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather and was truly the heart of his family. He leaves behind a legacy of unconditional love, service, and a passion for the great outdoors.
Born in Union City, Indiana, on June 25, 1956, to Woodrow and Ruth (Rinker) Gough, Chuck grew up with a spirit of adventure. He graduated from Delta High School in 1975 and enlisted in the United States Navy in 1976. During his four years of service, he saw the world and developed a lifelong fascination with aviation and engineering while serving on the aircraft carrier, The USS Constellation.
Chuck married his high school sweetheart, Carolyn Shrack, on August 11, 1979. They were united in a loving and enduring marriage for 47 years. In 1989 Chuck graduated from University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Business Administration. His technical expertise and passion for jet engines led him to a long career with Rolls-Royce.
To his family, he was the center of every gathering. Bringing warmth, laughter, and joy to every moment. He lived a life grounded in faith, guided by purpose, and devoted wholeheartedly to the people he loved. His presence will be dearly missed and forever remembered.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Carolyn Gough; his children, Bryce Gough (Danielle), Alicia Gough, Tara Kutch (Michael), and Jarrid Gough (fiancée Sydney); and his cherished grandchildren, Kira, Jensen, Hannah, and Roman. He also leaves behind his brothers, Richard and John Gough, and his sister, Marsha Daugherty. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial and Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2026, from 10:00am-11:30am. The Memorial Service will begin at 11:30am at Flanner Buchanan – Hamilton Memorial Park, Prairie Waters (4180 Westfield Rd., Westfield, IN 46060). A private family military burial will take place immediately following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cornerstone Bible Church of Westfield Building Fund.
